Terms and Conditions: TK Woodworking
1. Custom Orders & Design
All pieces produced by TK Woodworking are custom-made to order. Due to the nature of "live edge" and natural wood products, customers acknowledge that every piece of wood is unique. Variations in grain, color, knots, and "character" are natural and not considered defects.
2. Payment Terms

Initial Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required before any work begins, including the sourcing of specific lumber or slabs.

Methods of Payment: We currently accept Cash or E-Transfer.

Project Start: Work will be scheduled and commenced only once the deposit has been received and cleared.

Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due in full upon completion. This payment must be made via Cash or E-Transfer at or before the time of pickup/delivery.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Because each piece is custom-built to specific dimensions and styles:

Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been purchased or work has commenced.

In the event a customer cancels an order after the build has started, TK Woodworking retains the deposit to cover labor and material costs.
4. Natural Wood Disclaimer
Wood is a "living" material. TK Woodworking ensures all lumber is properly dried and acclimated; however, natural wood may react to changes in temperature and humidity in your home. Small cracks (checking) or slight movement can occur over time and are considered part of the natural beauty of solid wood furniture.
5. Pickup & Storage

Customers will be notified as the project nears completion to schedule a pickup.

Items must be picked up within 14 days of completion unless otherwise agreed upon.

TK Woodworking is not responsible for any damage that occurs during transport once the item has left our shop.
6. Approval
By paying the initial 50% deposit, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions and approves the design specifications discussed during the quoting process.
